Online donations made to our organization are processed through Authorize.net and Wells Fargo Bank's secure merchant service system to protects the financial and personal informartion of our donors. The information collected includes names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and credit card information. In order to continuously improve our service and to tailor our subsequent communications with you, we may also ask you to provide us with additional information regarding your demographics, comments, professional interests, and contact preferences.
How is the information used?
.ORG Foundation uses your information to complete a transaction, to issue you a receipt for your donation and or to update you on upcoming projects and events for which we think you might be interested in. Your credit card information is strictly used for the purpose of processing your donation and is not retained for any other reason.
No sharing of personal information
.ORG Foundation never sells, rents, leases, or exchanges your personal information with other organizations. .ORG Foundation assures you that the identity of all those who contact us is kept confidential to the full extent of the Privacy Act. Those transactions are processed through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol, an internet encryption tool. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form, and then de-encrypted by Authorize.net to process your transaction.
Authorize.net is accredited by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance and meets all 20 of its standards for charity accountability. They abide to all federal regulations pertaining to the collection and security of personal data and allow only their trusted and trained staff to handle and process your personal information.
Removing your name from our mailing list
Send us an email or a postmail to remove your name from our mailing list so that you do not receive any future communications from our organization. The online contact form on our website allows you to achieve the same goal. If you determine that information in our database is inaccurate or has changed, contact us and we will correct it.
